Description:

Beautiful car with bad engine, AS-IS. I have owned the car for 2-1/2 years (2017 - 46,000 miles to 2019 - 70,000 miles). Unfortunately, there was a problem with the timing chain and it affected the heads, and after taking it to three shops, the final diagnosis was metal in the oil, engine condemned. EVERYTHING else on this car is in Excellent condition. The body is straight, interior is almost flawless, Brand new tires a couple of months before the engine went. I can provide extra pictures or video of interior, exterior, engine compartment, trunk, etc.

I am considering parting out this car myself to recoup my losses, but I would rather not have to deal with that process. Someone who has the ability to swap out the engine, could get a diamond in the rough. Or if you have the space and time to part it out, this could be a find.

Reach out if you have any questions. No trades, but willing to consider offers.

Hi, other than the condemned engine, has this car been in any accidents?

Not in the two and a half years I've owned it. But when I bought the car, I could tell the passenger front door has had something done to it. It looks perfect, but when you shut it, it has a slightly different sound than the other three, if that makes any sense. And the door handle on the outside feels a tad different. So someone has opened that door up at some point and done something. I don't know if they changed a window motor or changed the outside door handle or what. That's it. But the outside panel and inside panels are in perfect shape and everything functions great. Just wanted to be completely transparent. Every other part of this car is as flawless as a 2012 can be. Thanks!

OK, thanks for the info. I know another Jag owner here in Seattle that does Chevy swaps with Jags. I'll pass along this info to him. This could be a fit for him since it has the bad engine.
