Description:
50 Years of Jaguars Ownership, this is our 12th Jaguar, so we have learned the pride and performance that makes them so desirable. Also learned is what makes for a wise purchase on a given model, namely the evolution of that particular model, along with service and care history.
The evolution of this 2008 XK 8 (X-150) represented to me the peak of the design and engineering. It still has the J-gate shifter, with paddles. The 4.2 engine has all Jaguar engineering refinements, just a year before the introduction of the notorious “5-Leaker” 5.0
This Sea Frost Green is a rare color, visually augmented by 20” Jaguar chrome wheels. The interior Poplar wood is rare as well, complementing the Caramel. Originally purchased from the Dealer’s Showroom, by an enthusiast who loved British Cars. The original invoice shows equipment and MSRP of $80,675. That enthusiast had the vehicle serviced regularly by Jaguar Dealers, solving all issues one might expect.
At his passing, his widow offered the car for sale, and we were first in line. Certainly my Jaguar ownership experience clued me to the quality of this particular car, and the complete set of maintenance records illustrated the thorough care the car had received. Manuals and 2 sets of keys included.
Photos and invoice tell the story, along with your own knowledge, or research on Jaguar Forums for example. And I am happy to answer what questions I can for existing or new-to-the-ownership serious buyers.
We’re selling because we’re at the point where one vehicle will serve us, keeping another Jaguar product.
Thanks for reading, and your interest.
Seven Ought Seven, six Eighty-eight, ten fifteen.

Before I purchased this XK 8, I read the entire seller history of maintenance, all by two authorized Jaguar dealers, one in San Jose, the other in Walnut Creek after he moved.
We owned an earlier XK 8, drop head coupe, so I was familiar with the quirks and maintenance needs of those vehicles. For example, our 2 XJR's (2005 & 2007) had some suspension repairs during our ownership so I was pleased to note that this car had been done. All scheduled maintenance and warranty work was already completed. Since our ownership, I have continued authorized servicers, oil change, cabin filters, brakes etc. Most recently this month I had a new thermostat and housing installed along with an oil change prior to getting the smog and DMV renewal.
What can you tell me about your association and interest in Jaguars? And what more can I answer?
