The Vapour Grey exterior color of this XK is very eye-catching and uncommon for the Jaguar XK. The color looks great and hides dirt well. The warm charcoal leather interior is a great match and is the most common and also the most popular.

The car draws frequent complements.

I purchased this beautiful 2010 XK in January of 2020. It was advertised as “not running”.
Caught with the top partially open in a Texas thunderstorm, it was considered a “flood vehicle”
 by the insurance company.
It was a great project during the covid-lockdown and now functions perfectly. Everything works properly.

It runs and drives great and is my “daily driver”, if such a thing is possible for a retired person.

This XK is generally in very good condition with some superficial wear, including: the leather dash (hidden by a dash-mat cover) has shrunk slightly. Wheels have some rash and chips. Driver door some dings, usually difficult to see but readily visible in the photo that is intended to do so. Otherwise, minor chips and wear are present, as might be expected. The black fabric top is worn but quite serviceable. It works great mechanically. 
Two complete sensor/remote "keys" and owner's manual are included, as are the spare tire, jack, etc.

Jan 2020: The year and project began with a thorough cleaning inside and out, oil (7.5qt 0w20) and oil filter change, cabin air filter and engine air filters (Mahle LX2671/C2P6500). Two remotes were programmed for sensor/approach unlocking and starting. Emergency mechanical keys were cut to match. Brakes were repaired: front rotors, out of tolerance, were replaced. Rear brakes were repaired; wheel sensor replaced. Brake fluid was thoroughly flushed. A 2010 XK owner’s manual was acquired.

The vehicle was state inspected and titled. Operating the XK regularly revealed some issues:

The touchscreen display was replaced (2013 donor) and programmed to suit the VIN.
The fuel tank was removed for work described in the fuel sensor recall tech bulletin.
Also, the integral fuel filter was replaced with an OEM part and exhaust pipes were assembled to spec.
A/C evaporator drain pan was flushed, flow tested and drain outlet modified to avoid blockage.
Also, the evaporator fan was disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, lubricated and re-assembled with new 6103 bearings.
All control modules were updated with software through 4/6/15 (past the end of XK production.)
A reverse/back-up camera installed per OEM using aftermarket camera (See photo).
Differential gear lubricant was replaced, 1 qt 75w90 synthetic.
Alternator was replaced with a Jaguar donor (10K miles), new Gates accessory drive belt

Replaced Front Smart (central) Control panel (2011 donor), programmed VIN to suit.
Replaced front seats (2011 donor) due to worn leather. Programmed seat sensor.
Replaced faulty heater hose (C2P12409/C2P24295) due to plastic fitting. Flushed and
replaced engine coolant 10qts Prestone/OAT/orange & distilled water.
Replaced intake connector (Tee) tube C2P13167, resolved long term fuel trim (LTFT).
Replaced pneumatic hood/bonnet struts.

I love driving this XK, especially with the top down! The variable suspension provides a fine ride under all conditions.
The engine idles smoothly and quietly. But, when the opportunity arises (interstate on-ramps?),
the pressure actuated muffler by-pass allows the kitty to ROAR!


 I’m selling to reduce inventory: My 2011 XK project is roadworthy and requires more of my time.
And the 2008 XJ needs time too.
I’m looking for $12,500. A great price for this XK convertible, it’s priced to sell.

A long(ish) bed pickup, V6/8 could be part of a deal with cash going either way.
