I have a 1998 Jaguar XJ8 I'm ready to let go of...
It has served me well (I've had it for at least 10 years now) but I'm ready to move on:
The current problems I'm aware of are:
- some transmission or break sensor or switch is broken, so it doesn't sense when it's in park, so you have to start it in neutral
- when breaking from high speed, you feel some vibration... not terrible, but it should be looked at
- cruise control doesn't work
- the fabric over rear seat is coming unglued from the ceiling, hangs down 3-4 inches (see photo)
- there is one small dents in the outer body (see photo). Might be a couple other blemishes, but not noticeable
- the cup holder is broken ( :-) )
I got an offer from the last mechanic who saw it. I may sell to him. I'd prefer to sell to someone from this forum ...
