Description:

Testing the waters here to see if any interest in my 2002 Black on Black convertible that is more than likely (but not confirmed) in need of an engine swap. Car does run and could be driven onto a trailer, but don't think I'd drive it much further than that.

See this thread I started last summer when the issue occurred:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...rattle-271985/

I started to search for donor engines last summer, thought I had one right away, but was too late to pick up an XJ8 with a bad transmission, then the summer ended and got lackadaisical when the colder weather set in about locating a motor.  I'd search and make a few phone calls then ignore again for a while.

Long story short, I decided the 4k or so I was going to spend doing this (scrap yard motor and having mechanic friend install) would be better spent buying a 2007 XKR vert in BRG that I found - picking up Wednesday morning.

I've owned this Jag for about 3 years.  Car is way too nice to scrap and I don't have the space or patience to part it out.

Car is far from perfect, but looks great from 20feer. Front end has rock chips, interior wood trim has a few cracks, leather has a little wear from 127k worth of miles (no holes/tears though).

More than happy to give more details upon inquiry.

Looking to get $2500 for it, great candidate for an LS swap and weekend runabout. Located in Iowa.
