For sale- Jaguar 4.2L 6 cylinder high performance engine for XJ6 XJ6C or XKE. Could also be used on XK120-140-150 or MK1/MK2. This engine is an absolute dream to drive and was built specifically for a near 100pt 1975 XJ6C no expense spared restoration. An extensive engine rebuild/upgrade was all done in the interest of improved performance for this fantastic car and the engine is conservatively rated at 250hp. It has been used sparingly over the last few years and has accumulated just barely 6000miles. TURN KEY-NEEDS NOTHING- this package is ready to drop into your car and fire up

Here are the engine specs:

Jaguar XJ6 4.2 bottom end (block/rods/crank) fully rebuilt all new bearings, gaskets, and seals
9.0:1 compression piston set
1970 XKE cylinder head
XKE Series 1 cam set
1967 XKE triple SU carburetor set, full rebuilt & rebushed with correct (and restored) linkage
Rebuilt and recurved distributor
Full XJ6 accessory drive- fresh alternator, power steering pump, and AC compressor with refinished brackets and hardware.
Fresh starter motor

This engine would be a FABULOUS addition to a true enthusiast Jaguar XJ6 or XKE project. I have conservatively estimated that it would cost  $25k+ to replicate this package if you started the scratch (a carb set like this, fully gone refurbished, with all components, would easily be $7500 by itself). With that in mind, the asking price here, all things considered, is a steal. The engine needs nothing- it is ready to installed in your car. Just bolt on your flywheel or flexplate, mate it to your transmission, and you’re on the road

For XJ (LHD) installations a custom free flow air cleaner assembly at no charge if desired.
