wow they are not good! Yes you should check the motor mount...thats odd becuase I havent seen not one x350 with a bad mount.but anything is possible.Glad you got that part done... I have replaced entire throttle bodies, with egr,and coolant housing and inlet within 1.5 hours...They are ridiculous...See if you can get the car on some 10inch ramps or higher in your garage, and remove the batwing or undercover.I will have several bolts,2 each side on running board under front and passenger side doors,10mm each, thentwo more 10mm near rack-pinion,and 8mm front side of rack, and thenfour more 10mm to the front where the bumper meets the cover.Get a good light and puit one between the manifold with hood open, and a good headlamp for yourself will be handy so your hands are free...Try getting a 24" mini pry bar to trry and light the engine from the mount carefully checking it for play..Keep me posted...

Sorry you're having a rough time with your Jag... I also have a 2006 XJ8-L, and had the thermostat problem the SAME week you had yours. Fortunately, That's all the $$ I've had to invest in my vehicle so far.... Best wishes, and may the Car Gods shine down on you.
