No problem and like you I'm just getting this message, 2 months later...lol. I've searched the forum but hadn't actually logged in so didn't realize I had messages. Did you decide on/get your wheels yet?

Since we don't get snow and so forth here in SA as ya'll do up your way I usually run the same tires all year long. Currently running Nexxens on my car and Lexanis on the wife's. Certainly not top of the line tires compared to Pirellis or Michelins but they are pretty good. I've had good experiences with Toyos and Nittos as well, so that part you'll need to do a little research on to see what reviews are like and what works for what you want to spend. Hope this helps.

Pleasure to meet you as well.

First off congrats on retirement, purchasing your Jag and thank you for your service Herb!

Most of the times in these forums the majority of the people in them frown on "plus" size wheels. In many cases most of them have never even put the size wheel on their car that they are so negatively speaking about so they really have no clue.

The staggered wheels I bought from a wheel shop here that I've dealt with for years however the ones on the wife's I bought off of eBay for a great price. CarID is what I use to see what fits my vehicles and then I decide on a few styles and from there I price compare all over the web.

    Cont'd...

I choose to re-adjust my search back to 22's, because I started with 22's, then moved to 20's for the reasons above. I looked on CarID.com and saw a few, and may narrow down and start purchasing, so I will have both wheels and tires by Memorial Day...

Again, thanks so much for your help...

And, by the way, my name is Herb - pleasure to "meet" you .

    Hello again!

Definitely appreciate the info...I originally wanted to get 22's on my Jag, but when reading most of the postings on here, they did not recommend anything higher than 20's. So, that made me wonder why, and would I be compromising anything by going to 22's...cause they look REALLY good on the Cat...

The Jag was my retirement gift to myself after 20 years in the AF...

A couple of questions for you:

    1. Did you order your wheels and tires online or locally? I am sure you have many more options down in SA, but I would think the prices may still be cheaper online.

    2. Since I will only have these tires on during the summer months (Memorial Day - Labor or Columbus Day, since it is still HOT at that time), do you have any recommendations as to summer tires?

Will continue on a second PM, due to size limits
