Gregory here. Glyn, I have just purchased (but do not have yet) a lovely 1964 S-Type 3.8, largely restored. I will have many questions for you; that is, I hope you will be kind enough to answer my questions - mostly regarding items or procedures that differ from those related to my MK 2 (which I am keeping). I also want to share some photos with you for your comments. The car is a near twin to yours - but the engine bay is not like yours - yes, it needs cleaning and detailing but more importantly it has been modified with the addition of an AC system (RetroAir, I think), alternator etc.
How do you manage in SA without AC on your car? I will have the car later this week - but that involves an almost 100 km summer highway run to home in an unknown 50+ year-old-car. What could go wrong?
