    Hi Daniel,
I was just reading your July posts on replacing your oil cooler hoses.....you were indeed very fortunate to experience the failure when and where you did!. Your posts prompted me to make a quick inspection of my car and I quickly discovered I am facing the same repair. Like you I plan to have the flex portions of the hoses replaced by a local hydraulic shop as I can't see spending obscene amount$ for NOS hoses from SNG Barratt or elsewhere. My question; How was the issue of maintaining the correct orientation between the rigid hose end sections dealt with when your hoses were repaired? Even with my failing 2001 vintage OEM hoses it is impossible to twist the flex portions at the crimps so it seems essential that the correct orientation is maintained during repair or re-installation will be a problem. Did you mark or 'eyecrometer' your hoses or just leave it to the repair shop? Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer.

    Hello,
I saw you post on the aluminum shift trim plate, I was finally able to get one for my 2001 XKR but it did not come with installation instructions, and I have not received a response to my requests for them.
Do you remember how it was installed?

    Thanks!

Hi, I found your posts while searching for some information on bringing and registering classic cars in Puerto Rico. I am looking to move down to the island within the next couple of years (currently I have a condo in Fajardo) and I wanted to bring my '69 XKE with me. I am looking to meet up with others on the island interested in classic cars but I don't seem to find a Jaguar owners group in PR. For starters, I am looking for any information on what import taxes will be charged and how to register my car once I bring it down. Does PR have a special designation for classics like New Jersey where I live now?
    Thanks for your time.

    Hola,

Saludos, Felipe.

Thank you very much, that reprogramming solved my problem. I had just had the headlight switch at a care care center and they must have disconnected the battery, creating my problem.

Thanks for the compliment but please note that the wheels (BBS Perseus) were standard on the car which were fitted to the 2006 Victory Edition XKRs in the U.S.

Thanks for the nice comment on the XK8. It was sold last year, but was a great car. Hope your Xk8 is also treating you well!
