The breaker bar on the floor and simply flicking the starter undoes that bolt very simply. The key here is to unplug any sensor, such as crank angle, so the engine simply cannot fire up. Ensure the breaker bar handle is actually ON the ground.
Tightening on the 6cyl and the V12's is simple, as there is an access hole on the LH rear of the engine, which is used to access the converter bolts, and I jam a tyre lever in there into the teeth of the ring gear. I use that same steel tube and the torque wrench, and HEAVE away until I hear a "click", job done.
I have heard that there is an access hole on the V8, and there MUST be, but I simply have not seen one to give anymore guidance.
I do know there is a tool to lock the engine when doing the top chain tensioners, and maybe that is needed, I dont know at the moment.
