Hello Bob Roy. My name is Bob Grisar from Florida. I own 4 Jaguars, 3 driveable and one doner. Your ability to collect, repair, part out, and dispose of salvage vehicles amazes me. I wish I lived closer to meet and learn from you. My doner is a 2004 XJ8. I've removed all I need from it. I've listed many components on eBay and elsewhere, but no serious inquires. I am asking if you have had any luck selling off the parts.
Very respectfully, Bob Grisar in Ruskin FL

    Hello Bob,

We spoke before the end of last year about a transmission for my 1997 Jaguar XK8. The fellow who was going to test the current one has been hemming and hawing, so I guess I need a new used transmission (or will have to take a shot at a repair!) Do you still have one available? I'm in MD. My phone/ text number is 301-330-2955 or you can email me at aflax@msn.com . Thanks for your help. I was hoping to get back to you sooner, but life and the cranky transmission guy has a way of interfering with my Jaguar project car !

We can proably do that some day if it ever stops raining in drought stricken, now flodded, CA. Keep an eye open for a jag run in the western forum. There are rumblings of a jag run. Just need someone to organize it. Went on a Napa run last year and met up with about a dozen members and had a great time.

Wow, Bob, you have quite a collection of XJ and XK Jags over there! I have a 2006 XK8 coupe in Redwood Valley and my daughter in Fair Oaks has an '06 XJ8 Vanden Plas. Perhaps we'll cross paths one of these days!

Sorry I don't have one. I went to the wrecker yesterday and the car was gone.

Pete, are you doing this as a preventative measure or are you having problems with the transmission now? And No I have not added a dipstick.

Hello, Bob, I see that you have repaired the A-drum on several cars. I will eventually get to that on my 01 XJ8L, and wonder if you have any pearls of wisdom. Things you always do, things you don't bother with, etc. I'm assuming you crack the innards yourself, but perhaps not. Have you installed the trans dipstick tube on any of your cars?
    Thanks.
    Pete

Hi BobRoy, looks like I managed to lose the protection cover for wheel well access to headlights. I was wondering if you might have one of those to sell from the cars you are parting out.

    Thanks,
    John
