A 'sticky' status is set by moderators to keep a thread of high interest or importance at the top of the list in a forum. Usually these are 'How To's' on regular issues.

When I saw the "XK/XKR Owners Map Link" thread I couldn't believe anyone would post that kind of personal information on a public forum. We only ask for City and State or Country as a Location on signup. We remove personal email addresses and telephone numbers from threads when we see them to avoid giving identity thieves who scour forums like this an easy time. Posting a home address together with matching vehicle details that are easily found by reading a few posts is asking for trouble. As it stands, it's closer to being a candidate for removal than sticking.
