Yeah, $ is $, but the auto save was a great added feature. It still says autosaving if you wait a bit. It's just when you leave then come back the restore tab on the bottom left is gone now.

If you look at the bottom of the screen below the copyright notice you'll see what I believe to be the reason for recent changes:

" We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites."

It's all about advertising revenues. A "free" forum has to be paid for somehow.

PART 1

The recent "updates" are intended to make the forum experience more enhancing for the increasing number of smartphone and tablet users. They are being rolled out across all Internet Brands vehicle forums so there is zero possibility of one forum impacting on the overall design strategy. At least we can all turn off "infinite scroll" in user CP.

I haven't had any problems replying to posts or copying into a reply from other posts. However, I do run seven forum tabs in Firefox simultaneously so I'm never leaving an open reply to go to and from another thread.

Pictures DO load noticeably more slowly now. The reason is that images now automatically scale to fill whichever screen is used for viewing - there's some heavy code going on behind the scenes to deliver this feature.

I know my nav goofed up once, no blank screen, but I just ejected the disk, reinstalled, waited a few minutes and it popped back up working.

Yeah I think that would be a good move. Sticky with the information of those last 2 reposts would seem to be pretty clear of what to do.

I've posted and CLOSED the thread.

Let's see how this goes. It could be useful to have just the core information in a closed sticky.
