Hi Lady P. I think the test for the isolation relay would be to check at the BPM FC1-13. If the relay was active the pin would be B+. It should be ground for normal state.

I think you're right to check all the key inputs to the BPM (power and ground) as I suspect there is a fundamental input missing which is causing numerous BPM functions to fail.

I would not worry about the Security module for now as that's only important for the starter circuit which is just one of the things that isn't working and it will just add complexity.

I think focusing on say the wipers not working would be a good idea. A much simpler circuit and I suspect if we get the wipers working other things will work also.

I will go through what I have and see if any of it works. I will report back, if not I’ll certainly find something that will work, one way or another. In any case, I’ll keep you posted.

Please let me know how I can return the favor. I’d be happy to reimburse you for your time and effort.

Thanks again.

5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1 , Thunderbirds are go ..........Nailed it , I couldn't resist the reference when I came up with her name . Get alot of look ups to see who the hell is this fruitcake . A ex Formula 1 race car mechanic from England I used to work with in the Jet Engine Buildup building always had a reference to the name Penelope as a fun girl .Have you seen the new Rolls Royce SUV with the distinctive grill ? They only run $ 250,000 . Worked on alot of the RR jet engines both in build up from scratch and in in service troubleshooting and repair on the flight line . .

Thanks , Parker , Joe Barry

Thanks, but yes I have a wrist strap and PROM puller already. BTW, I just noticed your avatar and then realized your "Lady Penelope" reference. I have the complete set of Thunderbirds on DVD

Hello, been away for a while.Have you received the flags??? I'm still concerned about paying you. I'm now thinking that I might try cash in a envelope. Can you send your mail address again so I can be sure it will arrive. For some reason the flags returned to sender, something about the zip code.
Regards Russell.

My mom won't let me and I have to put my latest coloring page on her refrigerator .

I was the guy on the flight line with the color markers and prints in hand and everyone on board looking at me . The staff where like they were in Mexico with their hands waving in the air yelling On delay , On delay , On delay .

Hi Lady P. EGR is not my strong point as we don't have them on UK X300s. I'm sure your pin outs are spot on and I don't see any issues with your thinking. Do you take the Electrical Diagrams to bed to read?

Oh, and yes I saw your starter issue. That's quite a detective story to find the voltage drop there. I've heard that removing the starter's top bolt is a tough job, so much so that I've made a mental note that if the starter ever dies I'll probably just take it to an independent mechanic.

Thanks, actually if you can just cut both entire "barrel" weather pack connectors (both male and female half intact) from an old harness or two that would be great. I can then see if I can get the seals out, or just pop the pins. Having both pairs of connectors should give me all the parts I need to fix it and cover anything I've overlooked. If you run across two sets from two different cars while you are in there so I have plenty of spares, that would be great. Thanks!
