hi I need some advice if you can help me. I picked up a 2000 VDP from a forum member in Ohio with a blown engine, I have located a 2002 complete engine in Denver with low miles. so my question would be will this engine drop in and bolt up to the transmission on my 2000 also will it be compatible to the ECU I can do the mechanical work but not sure about the electronics thank you jrb53 Julian Brooks

I took it for a drive just down our road when it warmed up, and gave it a boot full in second OMG they rev out 5-6000 I took it a heap of smoke cleared out

then it just dropped to 500 rpm it was back in drive at this time no notice of restricted performance just telling me battery not charging,

so I idled nearly all the way back and it cut out. well what the heck give it another start and it fired straight away and has run perfectly since the last 2 trips up and down the street, still have the battery not charging warning on display, better look into that.
