    Good morning,

The drive would be another adventure. I've driven across the country a few of times, both side of the border, just not in a Jag yet. Also I sold my old Daimler to a gentleman in Nova Scotia, and drove it out to him. Taking a road trip is a great way to say goodbye to a car. Though I did wonder about importing this one to the USA and whether the gas guzzler tax would be imposed, or whether it would be better to bring it in as a salvage vehicle or something like that.

By all means, lets speak on the telephone. I'm at 519-619-5926 and retired, so available pretty much 9am to 9pm Eastern any day.

    Happy Mothers' Day!

    Greg

    Good morning sir,

I was thinking of your March '21 thread about XJR parts, and wondered how far you have gone in collecting them.

I have a complete Canadian-spec (California emissions sticker attached) 1995 XJR with 71,000 km (44,500 miles) on it. I bought it with the intention of getting it in the best possible shape to enjoy...but another possibility has occurred to me. Given the abuse it's body has been through, this car might make a good donor for a project such as yours. It is mechanically/electrically complete and runs though not terribly well, as described in Post #3 of this thread:

    https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...io-xjr-243487/

    and more in this one:

    https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...mption-241539/

This is just an idea I wanted to put forward. Please let me know if you're interested and we can do some brainstorming.

    Regards,

    Greg Scard

Ricbergstrom@gmail.com (click ) is a email address that he monitors more often then the forum if you want to catch him as I have parts coming from him . You might try to get the V12 or I think the XJ12 emblems from him from the car body and the valve cover . I saw them avail new but you never know if they are in stock . The large valve cover V12 emblem might be a option for you on the quarter panels

Might still be there , look for a spare ECU and exhaust manifold . Transmission if swapped out to the good version . Other engine regulation sensors . Coils and many others . I'm sure the crunch day is flexible for a worth cause .
