Sorry, it's been a while since I've been on the forum. The reliability for me was comparable to any vehicle that got driven as much. People who do 40 miles a day have one experience, people who drive 35k in one year have different challenges. I'd recommend laying out the additional money and getting an extended warranty with "ANY" high end vehicle acquisition. Worst in this car I think is the electrical, As I've gone through 3 alternators since the purchase.
By the way, speaking of the regional thing, I think Jags are appreciated a lot in Germany, there are like no Jags in Germany, Plus the Brits love their XJ's.
I just got it from eBay! Thanks Burmaz. It actually looks bigger than what I thought. A bit tough to install but managed to get it in all snug. I'll post a photo in a few minutes. Thanks again!
Depends on where you are. In the more rural parts of NJ the roads are bloody amazing.
The more metropolitan areas, yea, they are absolutely atrocious.
ANd I know. Seeing as how my car is an XJR minus the supercharger, and how Jeremy clarkson in an XJR chased Tiff Needell, who was in an E39 M5, in a TOp Gear video in the late 1990s, I definitely want to track my car one day.
Also, since you are in Mass, what all season tires would you recommend? I know all seasons aren't great for winter at all but I had all seasons on my Mercedes and I got around except during the steepest of hills and the heaviest/dampest of snow. I ahve the stock spec Michelin Pilot X Sport All seasons and they're great, but if there are cheaper/better alternatives I'm very open minded.
