I see by your images, you have installed a chassis brace across the top of the engine.

Did you make that or buy one pre-made?

Hey, was looking at your engine pics I'm curious what you did with the small crossover pipe that looks like it was replaced with an insulated hose? I'm in the process of cleaning up my engine and having the unnecessary crap removed - the hose on my car is connected via rats nest lines to what I think is a carbon canister that seems totally pointless? Did you get rid of yours all together?

YES and NO, you would need a valve seat and guide machine, that is made to do that type work and most important the ancillery tooling to go with the machine.

good machines are very heavy(1000 lbs), and need 220volt 3phase electrics.

but the knowledge and fun you would have is great!
OK machines are available used ,SERDI is one of the best, check out Ebay and used automotive machineries sites.

Ronbros, I read where you installed valve seats at one point in time. Is this something that would be doable in a home shop?

the AH 1275 stage III was hepalite .060 over pistions isky racing valve springs (inner and outer) High lift cam solid lifters everything weighted balanced and matched... pistons had 3 compression rings and 1 oil control ring rings gaped in the bore for each piston bore and 180 degrees out for the gaps aligned to the wristpins as that way the gaps have no load special S-Steel valve inserts and 3 angle valve job...
nitride crank ect...
assembled by hand by yours truly....


of course with that cam you really needed the 4.80 rear end to enjoy the top end...

hello, I saw your post in regards to a a single fuel tanks fo ran 8j6 s3... I have a fuel leak in the tanks so I want a cost effective way of replacing them. Im thinking your single cell idea is the go, I may find a fuel tank from the wreckers yard or something... Can you advise how to connect her up with filler connections, fuel flow etc. Some advice would be appreciated.

I saw your car from an earlier post and was interested In the side pipes. I always thought side-pipes would look great. And they do. Can you forward me some pics please. I have a 89 convertible ,same color. Love the roadster look.

Thank you for your comment about the speedo, I'm In australia & my daily drive is a 1976 ford, i use a GPS in front of my standard speedo, works a charm, you may like to have a look at a local company with all sorts of gps speedo's and more > Rocket Industries - Leaders in Performance Products ...i don't think Wilfred will be over joyed with my comments nor will a few other people but looking at your cars i'm guessing you might agree....tom
