    Many thanks Jim, much appreciated.
I am certain that some will have the 'missing' security pages from the x308 Workshop manual. However, I have them should anyone need them, but I don't want to get anyone into trouble 'advertising' them as such. I only wish to help someone if it is needed... any ideas?

Hello again Jim, my x type has been running so well, haven't had to ask you anything for awhile, but now I have an issue, the car starts and runs perfectly but after about a half hour and it really warms up, I get some "bucking", feels like plugs fouling, but I can usually kick into passing gear (Automatic trans) and she'll smooth out and perform perfectly, then start the "miss" again, never stalls, never leaves me stranded. No codes which I think is strange, any thoughts? Thanks again for your help. Alex Sierra

First: Jim, since I've been reading thru this forum, I've noted that you seem to be the "goto" guy. I'm a retired military guy and so I want to thank you for your service to the Jag community!

Next, I posted a question in the XJ8 x308 area about a problem I am trying to fix for my neighbor. She has a 2003 XJ8 x308 but she doesn't have any of the owner manuals or materials. I think she is having a parasitic drain problem but I don't have any of the fuse box fuse layouts or ratings so I can go through them to see if I can id the culprit(s).

I looked at your posts for the JTIS but I have a Win10 computer and nothing I have been able to do will get the Win7 instructions to work. So I'm looking for guidance!
    Thanks sir,
    Dave

Hi. I wanted to ask for your help.
I have a 2003 XJ8 and it needs the heater hose replaced (octopus hose).
The hose has already been taken off, so have the coolant reservoir and the water valve. I have the book from SNG.

My problem is this, I don't know what hose goes where, or how it fits. I noticed in the book it shows where one of the ends fits on the water valve. After that I'm clueless. I don't even know where it goes inside the car (e.g. does part of it go under the pump, or sit on something, or what). I've looked at the several other threads, including the ones with pictures, but they have been no help.

Is there anyway you could help me out with this?

Jim, thanks for all your help with my XJ8L, the guides you have posted have helped me no end. Would you by any chance have a PDF on Thermostat R and I? Many thanks in advance, David Izatt david@pchh.com.au

Jim - I really enjoy your posts and find them to be very helpful. I had a bleeding the air out of coolant system issue and your advice/comments were right on the money. Thanks.

    Jim,
Do you have any resources on AJ26 camshaft actuators? I changed mine out on 1998 xj8, and after building oil pressure, it has died and wont start. I have checked timing with cam locks and flywheel lock, and all still line up. How do you fully retard the timing?

    Jim,
I downloaded your JEPC.exe from your dropbox and installed it on my Windows 10 computer. I get the login screen, enter ADMIN for the user and 123 for the password and get an "Authentication Failed" message. I also installed it on a Windows XP machine with the same results. Any idea what the problem might be?

    thanks
