Default Off to the Roll cage shop

Greetings,
Still in progress. Before the MK2 left for the roll bar shop, the shop owner Gordon, and a friend Mike visited my shop. Mike says " How are you going to get out of this car". I said "what do you mean?". He said "you need a quick disconnect for the steering wheel". I said "Sh&t. I already bought the Moto Lita. Don't know if they make a quick disconnect". Shortened the steering column four inches to make up for the quick disconnect, wheel hub and foot well set back.
Loosing the visors and the visor pockets to move the windscreen bar out of the line of site.
Might be out of the roll bar shop next week.
Cheers

Default Quick Disconnect & E Brake

Greetings,
Moved the E Brake lever in 1 1/2" inboard to allow room for the lower door bar.
Also included pictures of the steering wheel and quick disconnect.

Default Seven Brands

Greetings,
There seven brands/manufacturers from and including the block out to the harmonic balancer.
California bolt ons, some modification required. Every spacer for the alternator and power steering had to be remade. Timing pointer is Ford and may be the only Ford part in this setup. It's pedestal is custom( not shown)
Heads are being bolted on tomorrow.
Cheers

Primaz,
Mad ideas are in my head.
I ferret out the craftsman. Roll bar shop is Crowman Fabrication, Gordon Crow. Engine is at CAMS, Canton Automotive Machine Service, Roger Decker and sons. Assembly will be my department.
Cage is 1.75†chrome moly. Trying to satisfy NHRA and SCCA rules. In real life the car will be on the street 93% of the time.
Thanks all for the kind words and encouragement.
Cheers,

Clyde, you are taking this where no Mark 2 has gone before - definitely certifiable - but in a really good way. I'd pay money to see the faces of your street conquests - "... beaten by some funky old English sedan." I do think you're overestimating the street time though - you failed to account for the impound time. Best of luck with the rest of the build.

Default Not impouonded yet.

Doug,
I've been threatened with being impounded in my earlier years. I could be headed there again.
I never dare punch my '77 to the floor. I use the line lock to get 'em warm and spinning. Then I let go of the button.

454 SBF, not to confused with a 454 BBC.
Gordon at Crowman Fabrication is quite the artist with a bead roller.

Blimey, that is very impressive with a bead roller, I'd love to see how he did it, proper craftsmanship.

I told Gordon that there might be enough left of the "newspaper tray" for a Saturday's paper.
Gordon said "maybe there would be room for sunglasses or coins."
I said there would not be any "coin" left after this build.
