Those minor imperfections will be hidden. Generally the factory did no better. The factory did an awful job of the arch over the tunnel between the seats but it was covered by the console. Looks good.
Even when you lay the carpets with their studs in place they can look a bit uneven until they settle & everything is fitted. If you find a spot that does not want to lay as flat as you want, it is nothing a piece of Velcro won't fix. My upholstery guy made up matching over mats for me on top of that. Jon Skinner provided us with a roll of same batch carpet to do that. We even reproduced the heel protectors on the front ones.
I soon learned that Wilton carpeting cannot be forced to follow every contour of the floor & the job still looks great.

Sorry for taking so long. I have the passenger seat bottom disassembled but I'm not sure how to disassemble the seat back. Looked on Lin's site but he went to "better" seats. I might do that eventually but I still want a set of original-style seats.
Do you have to hammer the "metal bit" off or... what's the secret handshake?
