Which ash tray are you referring to?
The one on the dash should just slide out and then there is a metal tab in the middle at the back which stops it from coming right out. Push the tab down with your finger tip and the ash tray slides out.
The two in the back are easier. Lift the roll top, stick a finger in the ash tray and pull. The ash tray comes out of the holes and underneath are two screws which hold the casing to the door card.
Hope this helps.

yes there is a spring steel piece that must be bent down once the ash tray is most of the way out.

Thank you, ashtray is out and now cleaned, would never have thought to press the metal tab down..not a lot of room to do it..👍👍
