Front Brake Caliper Plumbing

Front Brake Caliper Plumbing
The front calipers on my 67 340 were off when I bought the car. A friend rebuilt them for me and now I'm trying to mount them. I cannot figure out where all the lines go. I'm guessing the calipers are not sided? The Moss catalog and my workshop manual don't show much. Does anyone have a good photo showing them mounted on the car?

There is a jumper pipe from one side of the caliper to the other. Then the solid hose to a bracket on the shield that mounts to the flexible pipe.
My car has Dunlop Brakes. Girling bought Dunlop's braking interests just after my car was produced. I do not know whether Girling made changes to the front brakes on the 340 as with 420. I don't think they did.
Sorry can't help. Look in the final '72 manual or parts book.
Dunlop - pre touch up & proper wiring with the right tool. Wire Twisting Pliers. Wiring redone after this.
Wire twisting pliers. Worth it as there is much wiring to do on the IRS & diff in my case.

Thanks that helps. I've got the cross over pipes figured out. It's the flexible hose to hard line that is puzzling. The dust shield has a bracket where these hoses join. The problem is that at this point it's right above a port on the inboard side of the caliper leaving no room for a bleed screw. Maybe I'll do a little bending to create enough room.

You might have to do that. I had to do this from straight pipes copying one of my donors. I had a proper brake pipe bender which makes life a lot easier. Bought it for peanuts from Amazon. It's pretty tight around there. I bought a Cunifer brake line kit from Barratts made by Automec. All ready made up & fitted perfectly but they don't bend the pipes for you. All the correct fittings installed but straight or in the case of the long one to the rear ~ coiled.
Brake pipe bender ~ used in many places on the car. This is the same unit I used. Gets the job done. Accommodates 3 pipe sizes.
