I'm not familiar with the 3.8s tanks, but there is probably a drain plug on them, drain the oil and fill the tanks with gas to the top.
The gas would simply dilute what oil is left and be burned.
It may be a little smoky, but I can't see that even being much of a problem.
A few here have the 3.8s and I'm sure you will be hearing from them.
After 25 years if sitting, what are your brakes like, was the car stored some place heated ?
Also, where are you from, knowing your general location is helpful when directing you to online retailers ?

I have done the same with a light oil in my tank to prevent rust. I will just flush it out with a little gas (using the drain will work) and like Jeff said fill it with gas to dilute the remaining oil which won't hurt the engine.
Good thing the previous owner did that actually. Seems like he made an effort to store it properly.
