Question gearbox change

Hi,
I have just finished replacing the DG gearbox with a 4 speed o/d
manual on a S type. The back wheels are off the ground and there seems to be a slight shudder while going thru the gears but no shudder when accelerating in neutral. The tailshaft has been reduced by 45 mm.I used the original DG gearbox mount.Any ideas out there? I am thinking gearbox to diff alignment or tailshaft out of balance??

in the S type, the mount for the manual transmission is different than for the automatic.

what year is your S type ?

G'Day

It's all good, the vibration was a "Good Vibration" from too much champagne to celebrate.
The S is 1966. I have used the original Auto trans bracket,it bolted straight up to the existing holes just had to remove a bit of metal, in the centre, the uni joint was scraping.I have also made an alternator/power steer pump($150) mod and its running perfectly.
I have noticed that there is a difference between what you should use and what you can use.
