Advice sought ~ engine mountings.
My car has a delaminated engine mounting on the LHS ~ one of a bad batch it would appear. I'm lucky enough to have the 3 stabaliser engine that has prevented the fan from going through the expensive radiator as Cass car did after they had deleted the front stabalisers on later cars. While I have the 3 stabalisers off it would seem prudent to replace both mountings as I have new ones or can buy locally produced mountings. (we make all rubber components for the Mk2 and they are the same).
Engine compartment resprayed with filler coat on the scuttle ~ my car was resprayed twice thanks to my first restorer allowing the job to languish while I was on expat assignment ~ he got fired.
Work in progress ~ the good side at present. the LHS has failed. Excuse dust & rubbing compound. Early stages.
Work in progress later. You can see that the engine is not vertical to the plate as a reference.
This is the standard engine mounting.
This is Barratts uprated mounting
Can anybody suggest a known high quality, premium replacement engine mounting that is superior to the Barratts mountings and the details of where I can get them. I really don't want to do this job again in my remaining lifetime. It will also permit me to align my engine more vertically in the engine compartment in the mounting slots on the engine side. It's canted up a little on the LHS vs the plate. A mistake many have made on the Register & easily aligned.

Barratts website is such a mess at the moment that Mr Barratt had his webmaster phone me. If you search keyword Uprated engine mounting for a Mk2 or S type it does not show. But they have it.
