find any coins or hidden treasures within the carpet and seats?

Looking forward to Chapter 4...or wherever we are in your project.

Going to be good, watching a craftsman at work.

All the very best with the restoration, will be following you all the way.

If you do get stuck for some bits, sing out and I'll dig through my UK classic car mags for some contact details.

I've seen them on ebay, you need the original one 7-1/2" I think, I actually have one in the attic back in Scotland, but I've had thay one a long time, it's off my second car and part of the family now.

ok so today i did not get as much done as i wanted to but here's what did get done

http://api.ning.com/files/MjKXQtMWGD...737&height=552

so first things to do was remove the bumper by cutting off the mounting bolts and removing the headlights

http://api.ning.com/files/*7G1hLPRlL...737&height=552

http://api.ning.com/files/bWHzqflReD...737&height=552

then break off the bondo
http://api.ning.com/files/exeWd9XH7e...737&height=552

http://api.ning.com/files/HfJjNXV1pu...737&height=552

so i found that there was a patch put in here, terrible patch job but at least it was welded and not riveted so i will at least give that much to the guy who did it

unfortunately this is where i was forced to end today

due to my grinder trying to remove my knuckle

that coulda hurt

oh well will pick up a new one tomorrow and will finish that quarter panel if the clouds clear

It's coming on.

Not sure what's going on with the pics, I tried to edit them and could see them as I was doing it but then finished up with the same as you had, I have managed to make them show as an active link, so I guess that is progress.

hey all i apologize for disappearing for a year, i am not dead and that jag is not forgotten. i was involved in a motorcycle accident last year and my wrist got mangled up pretty decent. i have recovered and will be returning to working on the jag and posting pictures within a week or two.

Ps does anyone know of good restoration books or old owners manuals?

Oh yah, I remember this thread...and subsequent 'classic' jaguar project car. We're all glad you weren't hurt badly in that accident. Since I'm subscribed to your thread, I'll be getting updates when you post some progress entries in the future. Good luck, can't wait to see it return to all its glory.

Sorry can't help you with the manual question, I'm just a gawker and admirer of the saloon.
