Presume you mean the Propshaft/diff seal.
You can use the old slinger.
Don't touch the bearing unless you intend a complete diff rebuild crownwheel & pinion realignment & reset of the pinion preload.
Ignore the title. See this Ed China video on seal replacement & his trick to maintain pinion preload while replacing seal. Watch from 1:24

Thanks Glyn. I was worried that if I undid the nut that the pinion assembly would loosen up. I see from the video that the If I only remove the seal, I should be OK.
BTW, my 61 Mk 2 is a South African market car assembled there. The second owner emigrated to the US in the mid 70's with his trusty Mk 2!
