Like Steve in Las Vegas, I am installing M&C Wilkinson's Rack & Pinion kit
I am now working on the wiring. Anyone know what the power draw of the pump motor would be? How many amps? I cannot find anything on the pump body.

I would contact the manufacturer, but it would be nice if you posted pictures of every step.

 

I heard from M&C Wilkinson - very quickly I might add - they said 40 amps max draw.

Wow! Good thing that's not continuous! I'm having trouble with the fuse they recommend for their fuseholder. Seems it's an ANL-80 or somesuch, common in car stereo circles. My electrical part of that project came to a complete stop because I didn't really care for the supplied bits.

As I'm adding a lot of assorted positive load with fans and lights and maybe a stereo I'm still casting about for a neat solution for the underhood wires.

Saw a spiral wrap mesh for wires last week that looked wonderful but now I can't find it again. When I get it I'll share it here.

Can you explain a little more? I am not sure what you don't like about the Wilkinson wiring kit? For example, what is the problem with the 80 amp fuse? Just wondering.
