Default Negative earth conversion.

I am considering converting my Daimler v8 from pos earth to negative.
I anybody here has done it I would appreciate any info on the subject.
The clock and fuel pump appears (to me) to be issues, other than those I would think it should be pretty easy to do.

Some of the instruments have to have thier wiring reversed. The pump mountings insulate it.Not very difficult.

hi
good luck
when I bought my 65 s-type someone had put a battery on the wrong way round - (neg earth) so I'm trying to sort out the mess. I only discovered this when I noticed the ammeter was showing charge instead of discharge - you will need to change over these connections to get it to go the right way.
I have fitted a new battery pos earth and now I'm trying to sort the electrics.
the pumps seem to work Ok lights are OK car starts OK
I dont have wipers heater motor clock or horns (the clock will need to be replaced)
I had a problem with the charging circuit and replaced the regulator and needed to re-polarize the generator - info from star autos - mike martinez - google polarize generators for the info.
conversion to neg earth shouldnt be too bad - the question is why - new CD/radio and fitting an alternator I suppose. (I couldnt fit an alternator as the power steering pump is driven off the dynamo shaft.) My car seems to be OK with pos earth so I'm leaving it intact. Hope you get sorted.

Retro Air in Texas sells a conversion 70 amp Alternator with the power steering connection for 3.4 and 3.8 engines with the original Dynamo/PS unit. Expensive.
