New member looking for a Mk 2
I just became a new member, and hope to become a new owner in the not too distant future. My wife of 36 years tells me I've been talking about owning a Jaguar since she met me, and it's time to scratch that itch.
A nice 2-/3+ driver quality Mk 2 would suit us perfectly for tours and local Cars & Coffee gatherings. Being in Austin, I'm hoping to find one with A/C, or have enough left in my budget to get A/C installed so we can use it during the summer. I'm checking the JCNA site, as well as various classic car listing sites. Most of these seem to be dealers, which is not my preference.
So, please feel free to share information on cars you know of for sale that might be good candidates.
Once I find the right car, I'm sure I'll become a regular contributor as I deal with the inevitable challenges of getting it sorted.

hi,
please send me a PM, I might be able to help. Chances are you will not find one with a/c already but you have a great guy in Texas called Rock Browning who owns Retro Air and he has developed systems for MK-2, and S type.

Or, you could email me at dmericas@gmail.com
I already get a ton of spam in that box, so I'm not too concerned about sharing it.

Now that I've got that out of the way ...
I closed a deal on a car I'd been looking at for a couple of weeks. It's a 1961, white with red interior, and fitted with RetroAir A/C. Pictures will be posted soon.
I'll now move on to peppering you folks with technical questions once I've got it in my garage.
Thanks.
