Default Newbie questions re: seats, B pillar trim, vapor lock

I recently got a 1963 Mk 2 3.8, and have a couple of questions that I hope the group can help me answer.

The front seat backs are fixed and VERY upright. Is there any way to adjust the seat back angle? I'm thinking of putting spacers under the front mounting points to tilt the whole seat back 5 - 10 degrees as a simple solution.

The upholstered B pillar trim panels are loose, and it looks like they were held in with some sort of double sided tape. I'm assuming this is not original. How were these trim panels originally installed?

Finally, I had the car out for a 100 mile run this morning, and it ran great until I stopped close to the end for lunch. When I restarted the car it was stumbling for the first mile or so, and then cleared its throat and ran fine all the way home. The outside temperatures were in the mid to high 90s F, and temperature gauge was reading 90+ C degrees when it was acting up. Are these cars susceptible to vapor lock when they're hot?

Any guidance and suggestions will be appreciated.

The front seats are unfortunately not adjustable. you will have to source Reuters seats with an adjustable back or shim the seats to get the right angle.
The B pillar trim uses metal clips that fit into holes of the bodywork. Look for them at SNG Barratt or another jaguar specialist. The part you are looking for is BD24953.
Heat soak is the worst enemy. When you stop your car, heat spikes under the hood and stays trapped. I am in SW Florida and I have built an isolated screen over the glass bowl of the fuel filter and connected the air filter to a cold air source under the front left fender. Even with all that, a good hot day in Naples in traffic will get me in trouble. This is the most debated subject for these cars (and probably for any British car for that matter).
Do a search on overheating, vapor lock, etc. in the forum to see all the solutions that we have tried :-)
Good luck,
JP
