Default Oil seal and water thrower rear suspension.

I struggle to find info on how to remove the oil seal and water thrower from the rear suspension. Any advice please?

Re shimming the rear suspension hubs is a terrible job. They fight you all the way. We cobbled up a jig. See Service Manual.

I'm in the oil industry. We cleaned all the aluminium work with our tank truck cleaner. The splined hub is spray painted. I dry lubricate my splines with a drying chain spray. Stops grease running down the spokes. If it can last on the chain of a bike on the Roof of Africa Rally it will do just fine. I use a Carl Bechem product.

Thanks Glyn,

I finally got the water thrower loose. I was confused because the service manual states 3 setscrews to loosen...

Yes ~ minor changes to the rear hubs were made over time. Even the UJ covers changed to give you access to the grease nipple.
