Original Spec versus Upgraded MK2 Engine Mounts
Hello all,
If you have read my previous posts you know that I have already had one bad experience with front suspension mounts. The more expensive mounts made by Metalastik Trelleborg fit perfectly while the less expensive alternative did not fit well at all.
So now I have the choice between the original spec. Jaguar motor mount (the rubber biscuit) and the upgraded mount available from SNG Barratt. I was prepared to use the upgraded mount thinking once again that the more expensive option would also offer the best fit. However, when I measured the depth of the original spec mount it was 1.088" while the upgraded mount was 1.243". I am wondering if I will have trouble getting the engine to sit on the upgraded mount given the measured difference in depth.
Anyone used the upgraded mounts? Any problems?
Thanks
Lin
