Painting the "disc brake "sign on rear bumper
Hi Guys,
I have a 1961 Jaguar Mark 2 which is in fine fettle but it bothers me that the disc brake sign on the rear bumper is not painted red . Any top tips on how to paint over the chrome and make the words stand out better. Its purely cosmetics but it enhances appearance...…..thanks

model kit paints work fine on details like those. Testors paints in particular. First paint the background and letters with BLACK WASH, works great highlighting chrome. Then clean the wash off the letters with lacquer thinner. Then paint the top of the letters with red.
Finish it with a coat of clear satin or gloss spray.
If you don't know what black wash is, go to youtube clicking this link: https://youtu.be/lSAYW_HXtn8
