parcel shelf trim moulding, 1966 3.8 S
How is the fabric covered trim moulding that dresses the space between the bottom of the rear wind screen and the parcel shelf attached to the body? All I have is the metal base with four holes and the matching holes in the body are about and inch away from the moulding back, when it's in position. Pictures that I have show headliner and or parcel shelf material as covering. I have no clue what's going on underneath. Thanks - Stu

with spring clips, not easy to pry out once they are in. You have to grab the strip a certain way for leverage without bending or kinking the thin steel strip.
the same concept was used all the way to 1987 in XJ models of the Series 3 body style. So in theory if not in practice, you can use the XJ Clips and you can rehearse pulling the strip in a salvage yard that has XJ until 1987.
in my car it is covered in the wool headliner fabric with foam between the fabric and the metal strip . The parcel shelf itself is covered in Ambla vinyl with foam between the vinyl and the board.
