Hello. This may be of interest to some. One very good way to polish and rejuvenate the surface on your woodwork is using "Brasso" ( i assume it is not just an australian product) which is a metal polish. I am sure many people have their favourite polishing products but if you are stumped then this may be worth trying. I first used it on wood about 20 years ago when i brought an 18th mahogany dining table back to life.
Its hard to get a good idea of the difference but here are two shots The before shot The after shot. Hard to see much difference but sharpness of reflection is a start
