Default Priming Power Steering Pump

I've finally got my power steering box back into my 1967 340 and need to prime the pump. What's the best method to do this?

Wile the engine is running, crank on the wheel from lock to lock until all the air in the reservoir is gone _ top up as necessary.

As Jeff says engine running with fan belt in place, Fill reservoir to above filter level. Crank steering from lock to lock 5 times. Top up reservoir & you are good to go. Any squealing heard at full lock is entrained air through the pressure relief valve. Allow vehicle to stand & repeat turns lock to lock. Top up reservoir.

Just to mention that you should fill the power steering pump before starting the engine, the above suggests doing it the other way around which won't do the pump any good.

Yes Homer. I can see how it could be misconstrued.

First "Fill reservoir to above filter level" then start engine.
