Default rear windows MK2

Good Morning: Has anyone out there gotten the back windows to roll down all of the way. or tried. Is there a stop . or just run out of teeth on the sector. I see no reason for them to be half way. was this some early atempt at child safty. I already have the door panel removed for rebuilding. or someone got a set of used black. Thanks Dwight

Choice by Jaguar possibly influenced by the rear wheel arch & space for the mechanism/regulator if all is properly assembled.

S Type

As far as I can remember, the windows in the rear doors wont go down all the way. I think the wheelarch intrusion prevents it. I rebuilt a Mark 2 in the 80s, sold it 1988 so my memory may not be correct.

The S Type takes the same rear door with minor alterations to the locking mechanism & frame to suit the flattened roof profile.
