Default Removing clutch fork from bellhousing

Hi,

How do you remove the clutch operating fork from the bell housing in a mak2 jaguar gearbox (with overdive). Seems to be bushed in but can't get a drift in there.
I'm trying to get the bellhousing off and one of the bolts is under the clutch fork.

Hi Anjum there should be a spring clip on each end of fork where it pivots; prise these out with a screwdriver making sure they dont ping off and lose them. This will remove the thrust bearing. In the centre of the fork there is a lock nut with an allen key undo these and you should be able to drift it out thru the hole provided in bellhousing.

Thanks Ray,

I didn't see any hole for access to the bushes, I will put my glasses on and check again tomorrow.

Found the hole!!!!

Someone had snapped the grubscrew so I had to carefully drill it out.

It was difficult to drift it out as you have to drift it towards the hole as it wont come out the other way. I used a series of things as drifts till it came free enough to pull out. Not much space to apply a hammer either.

Many thanks Ray.
