Default Throttle return spring

Carbs and linkages fitted today, I cannot for the life of me see where the throttle return springs go! Please could someone post a picture? (MK2 3.8)
Cheers

If it is stock the spring runs (big long spring) from the hole in the linkage arm to a tab on one of the oil filter housing bolts.

2 Throttle return springs. Long spring to bracket on oil filter housing (77). Short spring to bracket under front carb on carb mounting studs (74).

Short spring bracket onto front carb studs:

See edit. Best I can do & find.

Ray ~ these are very light springs. It is crucial that all of throttle mechanism is lubed & aligned or the car will battle to settle down to idle & run on. Butterflies must close completely. Engine idles on the separate idle circuit in SU's.

That's Great very helpful thanks, I will make a stainless bracket for the long spring ! have come across bracket (74) and I wondered what it was for. I dont appear to have the bridge bracket. I'm guessing is that for a manual choke?....Now for the fuel pipes and to see if I have any leeks
Cheers

I might have a spare. Let me check my box of many things and then get back to you by PM. I know I had one but not sure if I sold it on E Bay.
Is this the bit you are referring to?

Hi Cass Cheers, but I have this bit It sees like I'm missing the other bit known as the Throttle stop (number 78 and 83 on the diagram)

Ray, is the car an automatic, if it is, you will also need the throttle stop solenoid, it goes on top of that missing bracket where that set screw is ?

Without 78 & 83 the entire throttle mechanism will not operate as designed. See my pics above.

Pattern for lower long spring bracket on oil filter housing & float chamber drains. Frankly I have found due to spring variations choose the bolt that gives you the desired spring tension. Do what fits & works.
