Default Trunk lid buffers: where do they go?

I'm in the process of putting everything in place on this 1000-piece puzzle also known as a Mark 2 (bought incomplete and partly dismantled).
The trunk lid is in place, but I've found a couple of more or less triangular rubber buffers, which are probably BD11785 (I can't find a picture online but I can post one if you want).
According to the manual these screw to the lid with a self-tapping screw. It's possible the paint shop shut the holes with filler, so I can't find where they go. Could anyone post a picture where they go?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it would be the same, but on my 66 S they are at the inboard edge of the trunk latches mounted to the face which meets the seal. Good luck.

I can get you pics and dimensions for a 66 S Type if they are the same. I don't have that answer unfortunately....

Thank you for your replies. Is it possible this is the place? I think there's a trace of a hole there...

Are you talking about these? There are two. One on each side of the boot lid.

BD11785 are the buffers shown on Lin's pictures above.

the MK2 boot lid is different from the S type.

I share your pain. After buying an abandoned project (Mini Cooper) years ago, I said I'd never fall for that trap again.

But when I saw this gorgeous OEW Mark II with wire wheels (with a boot full of boxes of parts), I just had to have it

Thank heavens the parts supply is magnificent for Jaguar. Although sometimes one wonders.... €100 for a chrome horn cover, €10(!!) for one fuel&brake line clip...
