Question Wiper motor & blades

Am rebuilding my 2-speed Lucas DR3 wiper motor because the wire insulation had deteriorated. Have read Mgaguru's post on changing the parking position, but am not sure which parking position to use.

Question 1: In a left-hand drive car, do the wipers park to the driver's side or the passenger's side? (I have found photos both ways). Is there any practical reason why it should be one way or the other?

Question 2: What are the correct wiper arms? Are they straight or cranked? If cranked, are they different for LHD and RHD?

Thx.

The standard configuration is parking on the drivers side LHD & RHD. The wiping arc is different if you reverse.

Arms are cranked & different LHS & RHS.
