Default 1967 Mark 2 running hot

I own a Mark 2 , 1967 3.4 Jaguar which is running hot

I have changed the thermostat, coolant and added water wetter to the rad, I have also added lead addative to the fuel and it runs just above the 90 degrees on the thermometer - any suggestions?

Welcome. I would suggest that you take your inquiry to the appropriate technical forum, which is located here:

The members of the above forum are pretty sharp and it is an active forum;

Assuming your "just above the 90 degrees on the thermometer" is your car's factory supplied gauge, which is calibrated in Degrees Celsius, and you are in U.S., that temperature reading sounds normal for a typical Jaguar's temperate climate designed cooling system this time of the year.

From my experience from owning one, Jaguar would calibrate their '67 XKE's electric cooling fans' "otter switch" to not kick the fan on until just over 100 deg C!

If you are in the UK, your current temp indicates 71 deg F, which is warm enough to warrant your car's thermostat opening which would look like it is doing its job.

So unless you are getting other symptoms of overheating, or until it starts going over 100 on your gauge, I would not worry about it.
