Default 1995 Jaguar XJS Convertible - Labor time

Hello Everyone

I have the following questions. Does anyone know what is the labor time to replace a fuel filter on 95 XJS?. Does anyone know what is the labor time to do the front shock/ rear shock on 95 XJS?.

Thank you.
Mike

I believe the XJS Tech Section is the place for this ask.

I would also edit your Sig via the CP tab, stating where in the world you call home.
That will help people give better answers.

Welcome to the Forums by the way.

Welcome to the forums Mike,

In May you posted in General Tech Help asking about the 100K service on a 2004 XJ8.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...s-100k-270012/

I replied with a link to the Maintenance Sheet and the relevant X350 Model forum. No response to that from you so I have no idea if it was helpful or not.

You have now posted this 1995 XJS fuel filter and shock replacement question both here and in a two year old Intro by Michael1. I have removed the latter post. The labour cost very much depends on where you are and whether you propose to use a Jaguar Dealer, Independent Specialist or general repair shop.

Technical questions should be posted in the relevant Model forum. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hi Graham

Thank you for the guidance and the links you provided. I have several Jaguars (04 and 08 XJ8 VP) and (95 XJS). My apologies if my posts confused you. I am still trying to navigate the site as I am new to the forum.

Thanks.
Mike

Mike,

Thanks for the clarification - I was wondering if you'd done a rapid change or had more than one Jaguar.

TECHNICAL questions should be posted in the relevant MODEL forum. For your Jaguars, these are:

X350 (for the 2008 and 2008 XJ's)
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/

XJS
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/

The REGION forums are intended for meetings and finding recommended shops or parts sources. General Tech Help is for questions/discussions that cover many different models.

Worth adding a Location to your Profile (nothing too intrusive - State and Country is sufficient) as specifications vary across World markets. What is correct advice for a US specification Jaguar can be wrong for a European specification of the same model.

Graham
