1998 Jaguar xj8 interior rear view mirror removal

New member second jag. Just purchased a 1998 Jaguar XJ8. I have to remove the interior rear view mirror to send to Sybesma Electronics for repair. Read all the threads I could find on removal. I removed the back and front plastic covers The mirror will wiggle and is lose it appears to be held in place by some internal clip. Not sure how much presser I can or need to apply to break the mirror lose. Concern about all the threads on broken windshields Help need guidance on wether I just push harder or slightly tap it with small rubber hammer downward and in line with windshield any help guidance would be appreciated thank you
