1998 XJ8 VDP Strange Smell

Default 1998 XJ8 VDP Strange Smell
Help, I have a 1998 VDP w/ 104k that runs great, the trans shift fine. There is a hot smell (hard to discribe) when I back the car in the garage. That is the only time I notice the smell. Any advise.

Drive it in fowards instead of backing it up! Just kidding. It might be your exhaust filling the garage since it probably hits the back wall and the fumes fill the room. Hard to describe unless we know what type of smell it is!

The smell is of hot Trans fluid or motor oil.

If the small is bearable, then it's not Transmission fluid! Is the car leaking!
