Hello,
I am new to this forum and I am not particularly adept at posting on these things so I may do something incorrectly.

I have an exquisite 1999 XJ8 VandenPlas that I have owned since day one. It has a little over 50,000 miles on it. I know I do not drive it enough but I just do not. Replaced the battery 2 years ago when "transmission fault" light came on and was diagnosed by my Jaguar dealership with an "unhealthy battery," which was replaced. I did let the new battery "die" once but have not had to use the charger other than that one time. Now, the "new" battery has caused the same problem and I have to have a new battery (probably) and a battery tender.

My question is: Does anyone have a recommendation for a BRAND of battery tender to put on my car after the dealership replaces my (Interstate) battery to prevent this NEW battery from causing problems?

A lot of members use a CTEK battery tender although I can't recall anyone complaining about the performance of any other brand.
