Default 1st time Jag Owner from Connecticut

Hi all, my name is Glenn and I live in Connecticut. I've recently purchased an older model Jag - 1999 XJ8-L, 83,000 miles. I love this car so far, despite having to replace the fuel pump recently. Next up is the timing chain (as a preventive measure), and I need to replace valve cover gaskets (detected slight leak) , other than that I love the car. Handles great, plenty of power and all in all a very nice comfortable ride.

Welcome to the forum Glenn,

Congratulations on the XK8. Don't delay with timing chains if they are at all suspect.

Welcome to this friendly Forum, Glenn, follow Graham's good advice, PARTICULARLY the tensioners - or you can end up with a scrap engine.
